Assignment:
Today the students and I will be working on the reading strategy paraphrasing. The students will paraphrase the poems "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost and "The Choice" by Dorthy Parker. They will begin to draw connections between these two poems and their life choices. We will also discuss the literary term speaker in a poem.
The students will review what common, proper, plural, singular possessive, and plural possessive nouns are and write notes and definitions in their journals to prepare for the quiz on Friday.
